$3.7m to support innovative ideas
The business grants will help launch their products into the global market. Ten businesses specialising in agricultural, environmental and medical technology will receive a share of a $3.7 million business grant. The funding has been provided the through the Accelerating Commercialisation element of the Entrepreneurs’ Programme.
What projects are being funded?
The latest funding offers will assist:
- Alares Systems in South Brisbane, QLD to commercialise its platform that captures and interprets court records for credit providers. The technology will help credit providers better manage their credit risk.
- AMS International Technologies in Fortitude Valley, QLD to commercialise their energy management products and services for the electricity consumer. The products help consumers, electricity retailers and distributors better manage the use of electricity.
- Chromoxyion in Karana Downs, QLD to commercialise their product nationally and internationally to the livestock industry. Their process increases the number of females born on pig and dairy farms, increasing profits and improving animal welfare.
- Direct Injection Systems in Toowoomba City, QLD to commercialise their products which reduce livestock stress and weight loss during transportation. They have developed a supplement called uCalm Export plus a water injection unit called the Nutripro.
- Environmental Water Solutions in Osborne Park, WA to commercialise a world-first chemical filtration system which protects people from contaminated water.
- Flex-G in Canberra, ACT to commercialise their high performance coolant which is specifically developed for the motorsport and electric vehicle market. The coolant will allow for improved battery life, faster charging and cold weather performance.
- Forwrd in Holland Park West, QLD to commercialise their product, Apello. The real-time messaging platform allows health professionals to securely and directly collaborate through messaging, referrals and handovers.
- Spark Breweries and Distilleries Kew, VIC to commercialise their patented and compact brewing machine for retail venues and craft brewers. The machine allows pubs, hotels and craft brewers to brew and sell their product on the same site.
- Ubaryon in Lismore, NSW to commercialise their metal separation technology. The technology improves safety and reduces environmental impact in the energy industry.
- Vantari in West Pennant Hills, NSW to develop their virtual cadaver technology to deploy and test with their strategic partners and customers. The virtual reality software will improve training delivery for doctors and improve patient outcomes.
What are the business grants for?
The grants help businesses turn good ideas into marketable products through activities such as trials, upscaling and connecting with new markets.
Experienced Commercialisation Advisers work with the businesses through the different stages of their business building process to guide and provide advice.
So far 400 Australian businesses have been offered the benefits from commercialisation funding through the Entrepreneurs’ Programme.
